But considering that Tin and Aluminium are the recognised symbol for their 10 year anniversary, they’ll probably overlook this comparison and instead spare some time to celebrate their milestone.  Indeed, with a total of seven studios, four in Cheshire and three in Manchester, it’s certainly a far cry from the single-site Aspect which started in 2002.

Kicking off in February, the Pioneer Suite played host to many of the industry’s leading figures who all descended to discuss the issues surrounding research on taboo topics. Never one to mince her words, respected industry figure, Teresa Hadfield gave an insightful presentation on her experiences of facilitating research on sensitive topics. With previous experience of working with terminally ill patients, perpetrators of benefit fraud and sexually active teenagers, Teresa brought a lot for the attendees to think about.

Dressed in electric pink leg-warmers, flashing bunny-ears and a uniform of pink company T-shirts, the team from both of our Aspect sites had gathered in the beautiful stately surroundings of Chatsworth Park to take part in a sponsored 10 kilometre walk in aid of Cancer Research.

Braving the cold weather and the very real possibility of rain, the team were buoyed by the news that they had raised over £700 for the charity, easily exceeding their target of £500. And, in true Aspect tradition, the team were both timely and efficient – with every member of the party completing the walk in less than 2 hours.

Consisting of a Question Time-type panel with guest speakers including Ray Poynter and Trevor Wilkinson, the evening covered a range of issues on the role of social media in B2B market research.  Attracting people from across the industry the evening was a resounding success.

Looking to the future, the Pioneer Suite diary is quickly filling up with interest from various industry sectors for training events and conferences, including the AQR, and the international networking event, The Research Club.  From Madrid to Milan, Orlando to LA, The Research Club delegates will soon be landing in Manchester with hospitality courtesy of Aspect Viewing Facilities and the Pioneer Suite.
